Co-Executive Director Tony Johnson ex- plains that over the past 25 years, Villawood has grown to be a serious player in the devel- opment market. “We probably supply about 10 per cent of Melbourne’s market, and now have a full national presence. We play very much with and against the major public companies. They are our major competitors, and they acknowledge us as a major competitor.” The company also has a land bank in ex- cess of 18,000 lots throughout Eastern and South East Australia – which is bigger than many of its public competitors. “We’re a small company, but very prolific in our activity,” Tony says.
